Youth Ministry Leader
Responsibilities:
Spiritual Leadership
Teach and preach God’s Word biblically and engagingly.
Encourage students to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Provide spiritual guidance and counseling to youth and their families.
Family Partnership
Build strong relationships with parents and guardians.
Encourage parents in their role as the primary spiritual leaders of their children.
Youth Ministry Development
Plan and oversee all youth ministry activities and events.
Recruit, train, and support volunteer youth leaders.
Develop programs that promote spiritual growth, fellowship, outreach, and service.
Create opportunities for students to participate in church ministries and missions.
Lead weekly youth gatherings, Bible studies, discipleship programs, and camp events.
Outreach and Evangelism
Develop outreach opportunities to connect with unchurched youth in the community.
Partner with local schools and community organizations when appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities:
Administrative Responsibilities
Maintain a youth ministry calendar and budget.
Ensure all youth activities comply with church policies and safety procedures.
Coordinate transportation, permissions, and volunteer schedules for events.
Attend staff meetings and provide regular ministry updates.
Qualifications
A confirmed personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Agreement with the beliefs and mission of Popes Creek Baptist Church.
Strong character and Christian testimony.
Ability to effectively communicate and teach God’s Word.
Passion for working with students and families.
Strong leadership, organizational, and relational skills.
Ability to recruit and lead volunteers.
A ministry degree and previous youth ministry experience are preferred.
Expectations
Be an active member of Popes Creek Baptist Church.
Demonstrate Christ-like conduct both inside and outside the church.
Support the church's vision, ministries, and leadership.
Participate in worship services and church-wide events.
Maintain a servant-hearted attitude toward students, families, and the congregation
